Luke Morrison

Pastor

About Pastor Luke Morrison
Luke Morrison is the pastor of Archer County Cowboy Church (A3C) and serves on the AFCC Board of Directors. The church was born out of a calling and obedience to God’s leading. His calling is to reach the lost, teach the reached, and glorify God in everything.

Luke grew up on a ranch outside Archer City, Texas. Over the years, he’s worked and cowboyed across the U.S. — from Texas and Oklahoma to Kansas, Arizona, Wyoming, and New Mexico. Those years helped shape his understanding of the importance of hard work, humility, and perseverance.

He has served in full-time pastoral ministry and also spent time as a hospice chaplain, walking with families through some of life’s hardest moments with grace, truth, and compassion, which has extended over into his pastoral care. After taking a four-year break, he is now back to work as a farrier and part-time day work cowboy, allowing him to live out his faith while staying connected to the cowboy industry.

A graduate of Archer City High School, Luke holds a Bachelor of Science from Moody Bible Institute, a Master of Divinity, and a Master of Theology (Th.M.) from Liberty University. His preaching reflects both his theological training and his hands-on life experience — clear, practical, and deeply rooted in Biblical truth.

Luke and his wife, Nikki, both have strong roots in Archer County — it’s home. Together, they have four children and share a passion for serving the Lord, raising up disciples, and building a church that keeps Christ at its center.

After running from the Lord for years, Luke now carries a deep passion for the lost, having firsthand knowledge of God’s grace in redeeming a sinner like himself. He often says, “Failure is a bruise, not a tattoo.”

Outside of ministry, Luke is an avid fitness enthusiast who enjoys working out and staying active — a discipline that mirrors his approach to faith: steady, consistent, and intentional. He believes that strength, both physical and spiritual, is built through daily perseverance and reliance on Christ.

The verse Luke clings to in life and ministry is:
“Preach the word; be ready in season and out of season; reprove, rebuke, and exhort, with complete patience and teaching.”
— 2 Timothy 4:2, ESV

Nikki Morrison

Interim Secretary/stewardship team leader

Nikki’s story is one of God’s grace and second chances. For years, she walked a steady path of what the world had to offer — until God used Cowboy Church to draw her, then Jesus saved her from sin and darkness and pulled her into a real, life-changing relationship with Jesus. Throughout her walk with the Lord, she has experienced what it truly means to live out a faith that’s genuine, grace-filled, and anchored in God's truth and love.

A graduate of Holliday High School, Nikki earned her Bachelor of Business Administration from Midwestern State University and a Master of Education from Liberty University. During her college years, she was a barrel racer and breakaway roper. Later in adulthood, she bred and raised barrel horses, produced barrel racing events, and competed in them as well.

Nikki serves as a school teacher and Stewardship Team Leader at Archer County Cowboy Church (A3C). She also serves as Interim Secretary until the Lord raises up others for those roles. Her heart is to help build a church where a genuine relationship with Jesus is possible — a place where people can bring their struggles, find belonging, and grow in truth and love for the Lord Jesus Christ.

Nikki’s philosophy of ministry is simple: be real and be authentic. She believes that the best testimony is a life that reflects God’s grace in both the hills and valleys of life.

“Set your minds on things that are above, not on things that are on earth.”
— Colossians 3:2, ESV
